The Del Mar Motel is a little overpriced lets get that part out of the way right up front. After all, this is still a motel, and the dcor is a little nondescript but I like it. A lot. Its clean and up to date, and if youre bringing along a multi-generational crowd, its going to make everyone happy and thats not always an easy thing to do. Gramma and Grampa can hang at the track, Mom and Dad can shop or hit the local links, and kids can do the beach thing. Plus it looks like the motel that Connie Francis stayed at in Where The Boys Are sans pool, and I consider that a plus. Great jumping off spot for everything San Diego be sure to ask for second floor ocean view. -- L.S. Galloway

if you want a 1 star motel at a 4 star price this is it!...has 2 TV stations, no cable....lot of train noise 24/7 which is only 50 yards away.....

I HAVE STAYED AT THE DEL MAR MOTEL SINCE A SMALL CHILD, IT IS PRICELESS, ONE CAN'T COMPLAIN OR HAVE ANYTHING BUT THE BEST TIME BEING RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!! IT'S THE BEST!
