Rich's has been a staple of San Diego's gay night life scene since the early '90s, combining a genuine "anything goes" vibe with bona fide cutting edge dance music for a concept that goes way beyond "pick-up" joint. The scene has a real-deal funky urban club feel, with pool tables and video games up front, a smoking patio for the puffers, a mind-bending bar and a dance floor awash with strobe lights and writhing bodies. A little slow on the uptake, straight San Diego finally figured out what gay San Diego has known for years -- Rich's is the hottest dance club in town. Once only venturing into Rich's during the now-defunct Club Hedonism Thursdays, the hetero crowd now shows up every night to partake in hot DJs and fresh electronica. Come dressed to kill -- savvy slayers know that there's no such thing as too glammed up for Rich's.
