Are you really serious about dive bars? Are you comfortable going deep in the woodwork where you cant adjourn to a yuppie establishment doors away? Then do we have the bar for you. Imagine if Mr. Brady, Archie Bunker and Mrs. Furley ran a bar. They would call it the Stadium Club. The diner-turned-dive is authentically retro... meaning it wasnt planned to look that way. Forget those self-consciously retro fakes -- this is the real thing. Complete with Greg Brady beads, the long-lost gladiator sport of bumper pool, a video game of -- what else? -- bowling, and ten-year-old beer promotions. The 1970s are hereby proved to be alive and well. This is the sort of place where Mr. Brady would probably come when the Mrs. was getting on his nerves. Play Metallica, and win favors with the bartenders. And, enjoy the wooden-box television, circa 1969. -- Troy Johnson
