A bit expensive for a Chinese restaurant but well worth the price, Emerald Chinese Seafood has sumptuous Cantonese cooking (notably a number of reliably excellent lobster dishes) and dim sum (wondrous egg custard tarts and succulent shrimp pearl balls). More refined and subtle in flavor than spicier Szechwan or Mandarin (the eatery also offers a few dishes from these regions), Cantonese cuisine is particularly good when expressed in seafood; the delicate seasoning lets the flavor of the ocean shine through. It should be noted that genuine Chinese restaurants are often accused of less than great service. Western folks sometimes mistake the Eastern respect for personal privacy for a lack of interest; just ask, and you'll get all the service you need.

Madison and Joey's Review
By Z3 GINGER on 05/16/2008
We all think the food is excellent and look forward to eating there. Madison and Joey get so excited when they find out we are going there for lunch. The employees are friendly and courteous and will go out of their way to get you what you want. We all love to have lunch there.
