The Beachcomber   

The Beachcomber is as casual as it gets, absolutely absent of any affectation. For example, on Mondays, the bartenders pour pitchers of Pabst Blue Ribbon for only $4.50. Most bars wouldn't even think of carrying such a lowbrow brew, but Beachcomber knows exactly what their beach bum patronage desires most: to get sloshed for the lowest price possible. As a result, the South Mission Beach bar feels like the sandy-floored game room at your cousin's beach house, the one most often frequented by his belligerent fraternity brothers. On busy nights, it's loud, wild and soaked in cheap beer, which alternately makes for big trouble and big fun. To lighten up the party, Beachcomber hosts all sorts of lively events throughout the week, such as karaoke, Texas Hold 'em and a weekly trivia night. There's definitely a scene here; whether it's your type of scene or not is for you to decide.
