150 Grand Cafe   

I am surprised with the reviews that I have just read. I did not think anything about the place was very good. The service and staff were okay but not very warm, The food fair at best, nothing to really say about the experience, it was pricy for waht it was. Drinks are small, service slow and food , nothing to write home about.

We had not been to 150 Grand Cafe for a while until recently. We heard of a new owner and decided to try it again. We were pleasantly surprised. My wife had the Honey Peppercorn Salmon and I had the Beef Shortribs -- I couldn't tell you which was better, they were both excellent. The server was friendly and attentive. There are many good restaurants in San Diego, but we will definetly be back to this one.

I've dined in restaurants all over L.A. and Orange County and the meal my wife and I enjoyed here was first-rate -- I mean really exceptional. Just dined there the one time, but it was a very pleasant experience for us. Keep up the good work.

The waitress was a bafoon, opening my wine and pouring it for my wife without allowing me to see if it was corked or turned. The food was O.K. I expected more from such a highly regarded establishment. I will spend my money across the street when dining on Grand Ave.
