This isn't your run of the mill business park deli crammed into a sliver of an address between office buildings. Antonelli's Deli stands alone among lunchtime stop-offs with a space and crew large enough to cater to the long line of hungry nine-to-fivers that hit them around mid-day. The large industrial area of north El Cajon knows that they can get in to Antonelli's and either get out quickly or have plenty of seating to enjoy a good hour away from the grind. For those cold months, a hearty cup of the deli's homemade soup hits the spot. There are different choices every day, from chicken dumpling or vegetable beef, to cream of broccoli or tomato Florentine. For a light lunch, you can get a nice chef or Caesar salad. Sides of tuna, macaroni, and potato salads are also available. But the real draw is the sandwich menu. Subs and hot and cold classic sandwiches are fast, filling and high quality. Italian meats like capacolla and mortadella on sourdough are just great.
