Since 1999, Brians' (the apostophe is correct after the S) has continued in the tradition of large portions at reasonable prices. The restaurant has worked hard to keep its refurbished diner looking as crisp and modern as it did back in the '50s. Baby blue vinyl booths, stainless steel blue-and-yellow light fixtures and hot pink bar stools are swinging reminders of days gone past. The nostalgia stops there though. Poppy, modern hits grace the sound system, and hints of modern art are mounted around the room. While the surroundings teeter between eras, the food is timeless. The spot sees a lot of breakfast business, as people vie for a seat and one of Brians' hearty omelets. Half-pound burgers and rib eye join chicken parmigian on the dinner menu, and none leaves you wanting. What's a diner without homemade pie? Check the daily pie selections baked fresh in house and the seasonal specials.

Best lunch in town.
By reinvented951 on 12/24/2004
I don't know how you could go wrong when you need a great lunch that is sufficient to carry you over through dinner. As someone who (typically) doesn't eat a heavy meal in the evening, I find that after a great lunch at Brians', I'm good till the following morning. It's not complicated food, it's just good, prepared hot and timely, and it's priced right.

service vs food
By parasolbob on 07/03/2002
I would like to give this place five stars- but i can't. The food is very good and well prepared - but the serivice is all about attitude and lot's of it- if you are not one of the "in" crowd forget it. I have eaten there five times now and each time the food has been good, but you practically have to throw things to get the waiters to stop chatting with all their friends and actually wait on you. Food 5 stars - atmosphere 4 stars- service 0 stars
