Fish House Vera Cruz   

Go at lunch time for the fish tacos. You can choose any fish off the menu for your tacos, which is then char grilled, served up between two fresh corn tortillas with cabbage, salsa fresca, white sauce, avocado and cheese. You get to of these huge tacos. You can also ask for the fish to be "cajuned", and we always ask for a side of the yummy mango salsa the comes with the crab cakes. For appetizers the crab cakes are good, and also come with a creole mustard sauce that is excellent, the prawns are especially good lightly "cajuned" but the standout is the delectably rich indlugence of the Rockafeller bread. It's the freshky house baked sourdough bread topped with an ooey gooey mixture of creamy pesto & cheese. It is browned under the broiler till it gets golden and bubbky and is sinfully delicious! They always have standby's such as halibut, red snapper and salmon but the real star is the rotating menu of fresh catches of the day. The combo cabob is a great sampler, and don't pass up the house specialty side, the romano potato. Oh and their bloody mary mix is heavenly!
