great view
By Little ASB on 08/08/2008
Food was OK but not mind blowing. Service was awful when we went. The view was the best part. I would go to the Oceanaire for fine dining. The famous soup everyone talks about was average. All the food was average. Out of the 4 people we dined with only one REALLY enjoyed their food.

Great views, even better food
By bc5000002 on 07/17/2007
We love Georges. My wife and I are locals and eat there about once a month. The restaurant recently closed for a remodel and the new space now has a bar with views of the ocean where you can sit and eat if you don't feel like a full sitdown dinner. I can't remember a time we've been there where the food hasn't been outstanding.

Re Opened and better than Ever
By sonappareil on 03/01/2007
The primary dining room at George's is now reopened (2/27/07) and better than ever. A bit more casual now, but still a very special place. Expanded and more diverse menu, bigger wine list, and great food and service. We hit them just as they reopened with a party of eight, and 14 bottles of our own wines [over 5 hours with designated drivers].The staff never missed a beat, and we had a wonderful meal and service. Still the best place in San Diego, with just enough great competition to keep them at that very high level.

20th Anniversary
By sylgil on 12/27/2006
My husband and I wanted to spend our 20th anniversary at a nice romantic restaurant. I had heard of George's at the Cove so I called and made reservations and told them that it was our 20th anniversary. From the beginning it was a memorable time. The receptionists were pleasant, our waiter was wonderful and the food was so magnificent! The steaks we ordered just melted in your mouth. The arugala salad was refreshing! At the end of the meal our waiter brought us sparkling apple cider, we were not drinking wine, some chocolates and strawberries. My husband and I had a memorable 20th anniversary! Thank you!
