This is a great little restaurant located in Normal Heights right at the neon Normal Heights sign that arches over Adams Avenue. They have a wide selection with options that even allow meat-eaters to leave feeling sated and happy! The Neatloaf is probably their most popular item, offered in vegan and non-vegan varieties and made onsite from a well guarded recipe and is topped with a tangy, homemade BBQ sauce. Aside from the set menu, they feature a daily special, a daily curry, a choice of 3 homemade soups and a list of desserts made in-house. These all change from day to day so come back often to try them all! Giant salads, mock meat dishes and vegan options make this a great spot for vegetarians and their veggie-adverse friends. The Sunday Brunch is delicious but CALL AHEAD to see if they are open. This site lists the restaurant open Sundays 9-1 but brunch is only served every other Sunday. They also close the restaurant 2-3 times per year for a week or two at a time for spiritual events and pilgrimages.
