There are sports bars and then there are bars that feature sports, and the San Diego Brewing Company beats them both. Sure, it resides in a nondescript strip mall in the Mission Gorge area, but that's why they call places like this "best-kept secrets." If you're looking for a top-shelf hideaway where you can knock back one of the 50 beers on the Brewing Company's taps and catch any game on the planet -- baseball, football, hockey, basketball, tennis or badminton -- then head to Friars Road and get your party started. The Brewing Company offers 15 televisions, not to mention a few wide-screens, wired into eight EDS systems and two satellites. There's an extended oak bar offering up mugs of your favorite beer until midnight most nights of the week. When food is in order, grab some of the largish burgers and sandwiches -- the place is known for homemade sausage. You're not far from the stadium for post-game blasts, and the prices are reasonable, too.
