Rate and Write a Review Cool cats and kittens flock to the oh-so-retro Turf Club, not just to knock back classic cocktails such as Manhattans and Cosmopolitans until all hours of the night, but also to belly up to the grill and show off their mad cooking skills. The offerings here are mostly of the bovine variety -- you've got your sirloin, your rib-eye, your hamburger and such -- and your selection is presented as a slab of raw meat covered with cellophane. Yum! But you're just getting started. It's up to you whether you cook it just slightly so it's still bloody inside, or char it to a blackened husk. If you have the temerity to wander away from the grill, don't get your panties in a twist if someone nudges your rib-eye out of its primo spot to make room for their own hunka hunka meat. Here, snoozing equals losing. Veggie kabobs, Portobello mushroom sandwiches and bread may help fill vegetarian types, but frankly, they've come to the wrong place. And don't look for spuds on the menu; you won't find 'em.
