The SceneThe atmosphere is appropriately gritty but not unwelcoming, with red vinyl seating along the walls, a spacious dance floor and lengthy bar. A collection of artwork and photos worthy of history books adorns the walls. Nightly, the club showcases either national or local talent (and sometimes both). The DrawThe blues have been a part of Bay Area musical life since the days of Robert Johnson, although its presence has often been threatened by the forces of "urban renewal." In turn, the late blues great John Lee Hooker opened The Boom Boom Room: A much-needed stomping ground for blues men and women in the heart of the Fillmore, which once thrived on a steady diet of blues and jazz.

Great place for music and dancing. Had a bad encounter with a waitress which ruined our evening.

A pleasent atmosphere and very crowded when enjoying Bluses by Billy Dunn and the BLUESWAY.
