Nightly, the club showcases either national or local talent (and sometimes both).The DrawThe blues have been a part of Bay Area musical life since the days of Robert Johnson, although its presence has often been threatened by the forces of "urban renewal." In turn, the late blues great John Lee Hooker opened The Boom Boom Room: A much-needed stomping ground for blues men and women in the heart of the Fillmore, which once thrived on a steady diet of blues and jazz.
