The Castro has never been a neighborhood wanting for color, but if you took away the bright rainbow of blooms in front of this shop on Church Street the neighborhood would seem dulled. This quaint shop fits so perfectly between two cafes on this stretch of Church Street that it's hard to imagine it's only been there for a few years. Outside you'll find an array of cut flowers ranging from the unusual to the classic. Spiky King Protea sit aside sunshine-yellow tulips and proud, white calalilies. Church Street's flowers are all-natural -- there are no died or glossed specimens here. Step inside to check out the small but especially good selection of orchids. You will also find cards here by neighborhood artists and Paddywax candles -- unusually clean and sweet-smelling candles that could freshen your home and relax your mind in just a few minutes. These candles, alone, make this shop worth the trip. Church Street also handles special arrangements for events, weddings and corporate accounts.
