Rate and Write a Review Art that's anti-art? It's the notion behind a Swiss cultural movement known as Dada, and the inspiration for this SoMa hotspot of the same name. Ponder that over a Black Dog Ale on tap while taking in the funky, modern vibe that's become a staple among bar/lounge/galleries in the SoMa area. Laid out like a mirror image of its sister bar, the Gallery Lounge, the long, rectangular space makes use of its shape by incorporating distinctive details like chandeliers and dangling lights beside oversized pieces of chic artwork. Deep red walls and low red lighting add a flare of sexiness to the side facing the sleek, black bar while tan walls and dark brown booths line the opposite wall. A DJ sits comfortably towards the back offering up a mix of house and lower key beats and a plasma TV over the bar provides casual entertainment while sipping on that sweet martini.
