In Short Beneath a vaulted ceiling, the dance floor gets amplified with a DJ's mix-matched collage--hip-hop, '80s and house. The $10 admission is waived for groups of up to 25 people reserving the Akasha Room: a private space bordered by 11-foot-high steel walls. Smaller parties (up to six revelers) can purchase executive table service, which also includes entrance and a personal server. Every month, a different fruit-laden elixir is mixed by the bartenders.

Awesome club

There is a cover, however, they have a guest list. Drinks aren't too expensive. Ratio is 6 guys to 4girls.. Girls are definitely cute. They play top 40. Place gets really packed on the weekend. Great place to take a date too, if you want to go dancing..

I currently reside in L.A. but lived in OH my whole life prior to L.A., this will matter later. Element was a very nice bar, not high end, but it serves it's purpose. The door people were nice, for a change. The cover was $5 or $10, which is reasonable. The drinks were very reasonably priced. They had two bars, one when you enter on the right, and another on the dance floor, to the left. My wife and I went b/c we like to dance and we had no problem with room to dance or guys disrespecting either of us. Everyone was well behaved and seemed to have a good time. The atmosphere was dark. The dj was on the dance floor level as were the speakers, so if a loud speaker in your ear is not your idea of a good time, find room away from it on the dance floor. The restroom situtation was less that perfect. They guys had 3 toilets but the women had 2, I think my wife said, and there was a line. Plan well. Now I was so happy to be at this place b/c it wasn't pretentious like L.A. clubs, with the waiting game to get in, or 20 tables that cost a lot of money to sit at. There was really no where to sit, but you had room to breathe, we got right in, and there wasn't any games. It was a dance club, you could get a drink, and they wanted your business, just like the place back home were. So if you want to have a good time, w/o a lot of hassle, and w/o having to worry about having any trouble, then this is your place. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
