Fish Hopper Seafood & Steaks   

My wife and I have tried the chowder in just about all the restaurants in Monterey and The Fish Hopper is our choice for the best. We live in San Jose and drive to Monterey just to get the chowder at The Fish Hopper.

This place is one of my favorites. We hardly ever have to wait for a table. The decor inside is really nice, and the view is awesome. I had the fettucini alfredo and it was really good. My husband had the clam chowder, and he said it was the best he's ever had. Great service, friendly waitresses... I love this place!

Lackluster seafood for a big price. We were unimpressed. Our server was very pleasant. We would not recommend it given the fact that there are so many fabulous places for seafood in Monterey. We would not go there again.

Recently we took a group of 20 to the Fish Hopper for dinner. It was great from start to finish. The Salads could have been a little smaller, but the service, presentation, quality of food and the price were all very fine. Our waiter and his assistants were very attentive and efficient. They could turn the music down a bit, but the view cannot be beat!
