As you pass by the entrance of this dance bar, you can't help but look twice to make sure your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Is that a life-size cow suspended over the doorway? It is, and it even has a pierced nipple. You've stumbled upon the Holy Cow, a dance bar featuring music from the '70s, '80s and '90s. The Cow gets packed to the udders with European tourists and 20-something locals because there?s no cover charge and ever-changing drink specials. With the prerequisite disco ball in place and Day-Glo posters covering the wood paneling, your head might spin from the visual stimulation. Take a break and venture into the "Chill Space", a dark room that's heavy on black lights and a tiki atmosphere. The Holy Cow is also a promising pick-up joint for straight 20-somethings. People can get wild and you might be yelling the bar's name at some of the shenanigans going on. --

Horrible Treatment
By noiseyconspiracy on 10/21/2005
The bartenders here were extremely rude and the bouncers were jerks for no apparent reason. They insulted me and my guest because someone didn't like one of us (who knows why they are acting like that). I don't recommend anyone going here. They are pretentious big dumb guys who think they are god's gift. Horrible staff!!

All about fun!!!

We spent the first part of the night at Rugy Skyy, $20 cover and everyone was standing around trying to be cool. Dissapointe we headed to the Holy Cow where we were greeted by a genuinely friendly door staff. A group of shmucks were turned away in front of us for not having a friendly attitude. Once in side we had a great time dancing on stage and letting loose. The biggest impression on this place was when one poorly behaved individual came up with no respect and was too forward with us, before we could say anything, the door staff had already moved in and politely removed his dumb ass from the premiss. Finally, check out the Michelangelo's David in the women's room and a great message to all the patrons. These people are truly special. I wish all places were run like this.
