This must be the finest historic restaurant in the Bay Area. The shellfish is so fresh and prepared expertly. We had a great server who prety much suggested all our dishes. The ambiance is first rate.

Great,Drinks,Food & Surroundings,except for Some waiters are snobs. That stops me from dining with you more often.

Yes, it is well known in the tourist guide books and yes it is near the Powell/Market cable car turntable where they wait in needless lines. In spite of those potential downsides, the food and service have remained consistenly good over the years. My suggestion is to stick with the basic poached, sauteed, or deep fried seafood dishes. If you venture far beyond those my food rating may not apply.
