Kezar Pub & Restaurant   

The Haight isn't the most likely spot for a sports bar, but the Kezar Pub predates the hippie crowd. Back before AT&T Park, SBC Park, Pac Bell Park or even Candlestick, the San Francisco 49ers played ball at Kezar Stadium in Golden Gate Park. The owners of the Kezar Pub still proudly display their collection of football photos from that era. But they're not stuck in the past. Four satellites and 15 televisions keep the sports coming in from around the world. NFL games -- all of 'em -- are represented. There's also rugby and soccer for the U.K. crew, and basketball and baseball for the Yanks. If you're not happy with what's on the screens, head to the pool tables and dartboards in the back. A staggering variety of beer is on tap, and the usual pub grub is on the menu. But locals with weekend hangovers know to keep it simple: It's all about the Bloody Mary and English breakfast first thing in the morning.
