In the 1970s, Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner presided over a coast-to-coast chain of clubs that epitomized his own unique philosophy. Unlike Hef, Hustler publisher Larry Flynt has never been well acquainted with the concept of class, but he does know his audience. Realizing that men's magazines are on the way out, he's been diversifying of late. And surprise, surprise -- this "gentleman's club," located in notorious North Beach, is actually quite elegant, catering as it does to the modestly wealthy man of business and not your ordinary perv. That also means this lounge is a little pricey, but by strip-club standards, it's more than fair. The club features a full-menu restaurant, VIP booths and even Champagne lounges where you can drink with the girl of your choice. Hustler "honeys," adult entertainment stars, and local talent strut on stage, but those in the mood for sleaze will want to look elsewhere. (And not too far, either.) Since opening the flagship club in New Orleans, Flynt has expanded to at least nine locations across the country. Hef, you listening?
