Lucky 13   

A punk rock alternative to some of upper Market Street's ritzier bars, the Lucky 13 provides an unpretentious haven for the tattooed and pierced multitudes without excluding those who have leave their bodies unadorned. Capturing a comfortable dive atmosphere without succumbing to unsavory dive attributes, the Lucky 13 boasts an impressive array of 25 imported beers on tap. The bar plays its edgy image to the hilt, decorating its walls with punk band and horror film posters that resemble the bar's logo by featuring a black cat or the number 13 in some fashion. The jukebox leans toward the dark side of things as well, blasting selections from Black Sabbath, the Misfits, AC/DC and the Stooges. Contrary to all that, the staff and patrons of the Lucky 13 are a personable bunch. Regulars amuse themselves with boisterous games of pool in the back of the bar, while those seeking somewhat quieter environs can always find refuge at the numerous tables in the balcony overlooking the rest of the bar.
