One of the most luxurious hotels in San Francisco, the Mandarin occupies the top 11 floors of a 48-story office building in the Financial District, making it a prime destination for high-rolling business travelers. Many of the "little things" included here are of the high- tech variety, like Internet access, computers and fax machines. But the name suggests an Eastern theme, which you'll find in the gorgeous soaking tub, silk slippers and jasmine tea, as well as the Asian-influenced California cuisine in the hotel's highly regarded Silks Restaurant. Its lofty location means that all rooms have sweeping views of the Bay Area. Walking on the sky bridge that connects the towers, especially at night, is one of San Francisco's lesser-known spectacular experiences.

stayed in mandarin for one night for its view, which is the best in SF, and moved to ritz-carlton for comfort and luxury. Roms in mandarin hotel are ok, we had one with golden gate view- mandarin king at 570 per night with parking and taxes. Too expensive, nothing to do in the hotel, service is cold, especially front desk and concierge-she knows nothing or keeps it a secret. The only helpful and friendly peopla are bellmen and parking attendants. Do not waist your money there.

Being with the man I adore made this place even more special than it was on its own. What a haven!

WOW, or rather wow (understatment quite intentional), the hotel is right at the top of my list for all that it has to offer. When we entered our room, the first thing that I did was open all the drapes. As we were looking east, we had a wonderful view of the San Francisco Bay, which made ordering the champagne for a toast even more appropriate. We had a wonderful room, on the 40th floor, made our reservations at Silks, enjoyed the whole experience. The staff was extremely helpful and we will be back!
