Amidst the faint buzz of hydroponic lights and the breeze of ceiling fans, beautiful orchids and a stout banana tree flourish in the warmth of Plant'It Earth, an indoor gardening supply shop in the Castro. City folk from near and far come to this unique garden shop to pick up lamps, nutrients, water-timers, air pumps and organic fertilizers in hopes of creating an indoor Eden in their urban dwellings. The knowledgeable and amiable staff is on hand to answer all indoor growing queries before they lovingly tend to the fertile grow room in the back of the store. Plant'It Earth specializes in orchids -- it carries a wide selection of these vibrant and hearty plants. The store is also dedicated to organic growing; everything in the store is natural, all the way down to the "beneficial insects." Pick up some ladybugs instead of pesticides to take out those nasty aphids and spider mites.
