Red Jade Restaurant   

This once was a very good restaurant, Hong Kong Cafe, then it became the Red Jade. They slicked up the decor, but it was better when it wasn't so slick and was known for different varieties of chow mein, each one distinct, & Wor Won Ton soup. I wanted some Hong Kong crispy noodles with seafood. If I did not want Calimari, I would have gone to CHOW for their Smiling Noodles which are excellent and they are just down the block. What arrived was Rubbery Calimari and burnt noodles with the rest of the seafood cooked tender. I sent the rubber back to the kitchen to have it redone. They did not do so. The manager minimized the whole problem. No comp. Only 2$ off. I will GO TO CHOW next time and thereafter! New Sun Hong Kong has great crispy Hong Kong noodles at Broadway and Columbus + a great light sculpture to watch.
