Rate and Write a Review Despite its name, you won't find rickshaw drivers waiting to whisk you away on foot-powered vehicles congregating outside this Civic Center bar. Opened in January 2004, the garage-chic hangout is still coming into its own. The crowd and scene vary widely depending on the night. You'd be just as likely to see Goth kids in shiny pleather as you would downtown professional types taking advantage of the happy hour specials. With an entrance so understated you might miss it and interiors that marry practical IKEA-style seating with recylables (the marble bar came from the old Conservatory of Music), Rickshaw's atmosphere easily adapts to its patrons. There's room to dance and a loft area perfect for contemplating life's great issues over a super-cheap beer. The food builds on the anything-goes ambiance. Four inexpensive small plates consist of rarely juxtaposed items like corn dogs, tortellini skewers and warm soba noodles. Now that's what you call eclectic. The bar serves food until 10PM.
