Every city has that one restaurant you can?t miss, where celebrities feel at home and every other guest feels like a celebrity. The Sardine Factory has that cachet?world leaders, sports heroes and entertainment icons have made a tradition of dining in our historic Cannery Row setting. Our award-winning chefs prepare each delectable creation of fresh, sustainable seafood and USDA Prime Beef for you alone, and the warm, friendly service will make you feel like a regular. A choice from the wine collection complements any dish?after all, we won the 2006 Best Wine List in America award from Restaurant Hospitality Magazine. The Lounge?s live entertainment and affordable, flexible menu are a casual alternative to our other dining rooms. The Sardine Factory, a must in Monterey. Fun never tasted this good!

We drove up from LA and just went to the Sardine Factory on a whim. The food was amazing. I had the cioppino which was amazing. I haven't found a competition for this dish. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening. The service was superb.

Very Disappointed

We make it a point to eat at Sardine Factory whenever we are in Monterey. As a matter of fact we have booked many family get togethers there. We wont be doing that again. The food is still great, the service is the worst we have ever experienced. We are from SF and know what good service is. OUr waiter, Don, should apply at McDonalds. My husband who normally over tips, gave a valet more than the waiter. After our entrees were put on the table never saw "Don" again. We usually have a couple of drinks, didnt happen, no wine list, no desert,no coffe and we stared at our dirty plates for 20 minutes. Adios Sardine factory, we will patron somewhere else from now on.
