Trax   

The description of Trax here is a bit outdated...true that for years there was that red awning out front that said "Trax-sational Cocktails", but recently that awning has been replaced with a larger, brighter yellow awning that says "Trax Bar". Still a very friendly atmosphere, still a very diverse crowd hanging out to have very reasonably priced drinks while they converse, play pool or just enjoy the music (depending on what day or night it is, you either hear vinyl spun by a DJ, or CDs and music videos played by the bartenders -- no jukebox anymore). There's a standard bar video game near the front and recently an old-school PacMan game was installed near the back of the bar. Tuesday is still the day for beer specials...since the above description was written the price has gone up a whopping 50 cents, but where else can you get your choice of beer for $2.50? And Thursday is Cosmo Day...tasty, icy cold cosmos are $2.75 all day and night. Come in Saturday nights at 9 pm and find some of the best drink specials you'll ever find in this city: well drinks and domestic beer for $1.00! That price is in effect from 9 pm 'til 10, at which time the price goes up to $2. Then at 11 the special price is $3 and that goes until midnight. Nice to have an attitude-free bar that goes easy on the pocketbook.
