Coffee To the People   

Coffee to the People is just the sort of name you'd expect an organic, fair trade, community-minded, independent coffee shop to have in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco's best known throwback to the 1960s. And the cafe lives up to its name, offering local artists, poets and activists a forum to display or discuss their ideas. What differentiates it from similar attempts throughout the city is the coffee - organic and fair trade coffees also tend to be really good, and especially if they are fresh roasted, as they are here. Add some tasty organic sandwiches, yogurts and fruits, and you've got yourself a great coffeehouse, which just happens to double as a community arts center. Right on.
