Quick Tips: 1. Parking -- The hourly lot rate is $1 per 20 minutes and a daily max of $20. The long-term lot runs $5 for the first two hours, then up to $10. There is also valet and special handicap parking. 2. Transportation -- A taxi ride to Oakland is around $22 and a door-to door shuttle is $16 or so. But first check on the numerous free hotel shuttles servicing the airport. 3. Inter-Terminal Transfer -- There are two terminals within walking distance of each other. Call ahead to arrange special assistance. 4. Food -- The best place to eat is the Tower Lounge (Terminal 1). The Bay City Caf (Terminal 2) is also a favorite. Or stop at Your Black Muslim Bakery in Terminal 2. 5. Special Notes -- Choose midday or late night to depart or land. The airport is wonderful, but during peak traffic times you can't get to it.
