Rate and Write a Review Don't go to the Greek Theatre for comfort. There are no bad seats, but there are also no good seats. If your seat is too far to the side, there's a chance you'll miss half the sound. If you paid good money for a seat in the center, you might get a little peeved at the hordes that have snuck up on the grass behind you to hear the concert for free. Do go to the Greek for the open-air experience and great music. Berkeley's Greek Theatre is history, stars, warm evenings and music all wrapped into one. Just about everyone has appeared on its stage, from Martin Luther King to Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Thelonious Monk (whose wife had to call from Monk's home in San Francisco to announce he overslept and would be arriving late).
