Cesar   

Cesar has the most unique & wonderful menu of any restaurant I know of. The food is always fresh, perfectly seasoned, beautifully arranged and just plain delicious!!! The ambiance of both sites (I recently visited the new site on Piedmont Ave. in Oakland) and was equally pleased with the food, the staff and the "feel" of the restaurant. What is even better, is that soon (maybe already - I'm not certain) you can bring many of the sauces and other flavors home as there will be a mercado (market) on site at the Oakland location. Oh, I cannot forget the bar!!! The mixed drinks are the best you can get and the wine list is, of course, expansive as well. All you can ask for from a group of Berkeley food specialists who have been "around the block a few times" in the world of food & drink.

Great tapas, excellent drink menu (especially the flights) always croweded in the evening. The owners worked at chez panniase next door they really know what they are doing

Try the salmon there. Excellent!
