We went to this restaurant for a special occasion a few years ago - since we weren't from the City and were unknown to the staff, we were placed at a table in the rear, next to the door of the kitchen - the food was good but the staff was very stand-offish and unfriendly. They made us feel that only the "elite" and well known of San Francisco need come to their restaurant. We would never go there again - we paid the same prices as everyone else, yet we felt snubbed.
