This is diner food, California style - comforting and exciting all at once, and well executed. Comfy black leather booths, a perky menu, and efficient waiters round out the picture. Situated at the end of Battery St. near the waterfront.

Absolutely Fabulous!
On my recent visit to San Francisco, a friend of mine in Boston told me that Fog City diner was not to be missed. On my second night, there I was, sitting at their "cool Bar", in my Panama Hat, sipping my dryest of martinis, followed by a scrumptous dinner. The staff made me feel right at home, as if I a "regular". The menu was varied with a very interesting selection of appetizers, entrees, desserts. The wine list was sophisticated and selective, as were the hearty cocktails. The "Deco' atmosphere took me back in time to the 1940's and "Bogie and Bacall". I loved it!!! Shouldn't be missed!!
This Place Sucks
This Joint is Overrated "Big Time". To have this place rated at the top of any list of best places in the City, is a total haux.
