Jalisco Cafe   

In 1970 was the first time my father took the family one weekend to Jalisco Cafe to meet Don Bartolo and have the best carnitas in all of California, ever since we would try to make it back every two months since we live in Antioch. I am 43 years old and have my own family we make it a tradicion to go for lunch at least once a month. No dought the cook the best Carnitas in the world.

Before I moved to cali from DC in 82 the only mexican food I ever had was in TV dinners. It only took one meal to convert me to a loyal customer and friend to Tony vasquez and his family since 1985. The carnitas (roast pork) is absolutley the finest I have ever had! It is always hot, fresh and carved to order. while the chicken and other items are also excellent, they take a back seat to the carnitas that draw a line of customers out the door every Sunday morning. I have since moved from that great town, but my fondest memories are my Sunday brunch at Jalisco. Carnitas, rice, beans, tortillas and a Jaritos drink..........AWESOME! Phil Reed Daytona Florida
