Jardiniere, opened in 1997, is housed in a beautiful landmark building in San Francisco's chic Hayes Valley neighborhood. Highlights of the elegant setting, designed by Pat Kuleto, include a gorgeous bar and stunning staircase. The highly refined and sensual food of Chef/Owner Traci Des Jardins is a celebration of Northern California's best seasonal bounty prepared with classic French technique. The J Lounge features a full list of specialty cocktails and wines, and offers a variety of creative lounge food and small plates. Its proximity to the theaters makes it an excellent place to dine before or after a show.

Jardiniere Restaurant in San Francisco
By TerrySR1000 on 07/25/2008
I was visiting San Francisco and insisted that we try Jardiniere. I saw the owner and chef (Traci des Jardin) on a cooking challange on the food network against some of their top T.V. chefs. Traci won first place. I enjoyed the entire exsperience at the restaurant. . We were greated by the restaurant manage, a Mr. Greg Rowen. His knowledge of wines and the cheeses were very impressive. He is very personable and perfect for the first introdiction to the restaurant. The food did not disappoint.. The duck breast was the best I ever had.

Jardiniere is great. Yes, it's a little expensive, but it's worth every dime. The atmosphere is great, from the moment you walk in and are greated by a gracious host or hostess, sit at the bar and have a drink until you are shown to your table, made comfortable and then served by a knowledgeable server. The food is consistently wonderful. When you leave you're feeling good from being treated to a unique San Francisco experience.
