Nepenthe   

We stopped at a little store in Big Sur to ask the clerk a good place to eat and she sent us here. The restaurant has tables outside as well as inside, but windows surround the entire place so that everyone can see the view! Spectacular!!! I ordered the salmon sandwich, but was concerned it would be too fishy for my taste, discussed this with the waitress before hand, and to my great surprise.... this was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life!!! It was scrumptious!!! Served with some type of dill sauce on a homemade bun that complimented it greatly!! I have fond memories of this place and would love to return some day! Can't wait to take my daughters with me next time!!

Who cares about food with a view like that.

The view is AWESOME! Food was good. Prices were high. I had the chicken sandwich and a house salad. The bread was divine and the blue cheese dressing was very tasty. Skip the quiche!
