The SceneThe dining room of this upscale destination has granite walls, blond-wood furniture and a prominent sushi bar, all of which evoke understated Japanese-style luxury. Soft lighting and a gorgeous waterfront view enhance the ambience. The crowd is primarily young Financial District businesspeople. The FoodThough celebrated for sushi, the menu extends far beyond snow crab and avocado. Interesting roll combinations and fresh fish make for tasty bites, but for more innovative choices (and better values), look to the Chef Original Dishes or those made on the robata grill. Hirame-hime (halibut and scallop carpaccio with grape-Grand Marnier dressing) and futago (beef tenderloin and eggplant with miso-sesame sauce) taste nearly as stunning as they look. Grilled black cod flakes perfectly into its soy reduction sauce, and miso-marinated spareribs are worth the sticky fingers diners will get eating them.

Kmesquire's Review

The service was absolutely awful the three times I ate there last week. The food however, was fabulous! But such poor service makes even the best food taste bad. On night #1, they brought my sushi plate 20 minutes before they brought my husband's order! On night #2, they forgot the condiments and then it took forever for my second drink to arrive. The third night was a complete disaster and we had even brought a guest with us! They lost the sushi order twice. Then, they gave us miso soup with no spoons and it took 10 minutes to flag down our waitress. The sushi order never arrived after an hour and fifteen minutes! VERY POOR SERVICE!

MIDN BRUNO's Review

The food was outstanding. The sake selection is impressive. The service was prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable. Rob, the manager, was helpful and nice. This is the best sushi I have ever eaten (having eaten sushi on 3 continents). We immediately made reservations for dinner when they have entertainment. I would recommend this restaurant strongly to anyone and everyone.
