Punch Line Comedy Club   

Located downtown in the Financial District, the Punchline has been bringing top-notch comedy acts to the Bay Area for more than two decades. This is not your typical, run-down comedy club: the Punchline has class and everything from the ambiance to the service proves it. Before the opening acts come to the stage, candles highlight a room-length, surrealistic mural of San Francisco. This pleasant backdrop provides a relaxed atmosphere that often reels in ticket holders an hour before show time. Well-dressed business types encircle the small but intimate stage, sipping stiff drinks as the friendly staff suggests finger-foods from the complete menu. The management does a great job picking the headliners, allowing local and national acts a chance to shine in this unique environment. After seeing a show for yourself, you'll realize why some regard the Punchline as the premier comedy club destination -- for patrons and comedians -- in Northern California. Note: Doors open at 7PM with shows beginning at 8PM each night. An additional show takes place at 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The club is restricted to 18 years or older. Seating is first come first served, and there is a two-drink minimum.
