Spices II   

The food was good but the server was HORRIBLE!!! she was on her cell phone and checking her make up on a hand mirror most of the time, she never bothered to ask if we needed something else. When she brought our food to our table she was very RUDE!! and practically threw on the table our orders. We liked the food but we are NOT going back ! it is not worth to put up with people who hate to do their job and act so low and mean towards customers!!

the last 2 times i have been to spices on clement street in SF, i have realized that the food has gotten worst. the cook have changed serveral times. the taste of the food has gotten worst. the cooked the food way too salty and messed up the order. the food was kind of spoiled but they still used it to complete the dish. i used to visit this restaurant a lot because the first 15 times the food has always be extremely good. the service was wonderful. the taste reminds me of Taiwan and the traditional spicy food. they always played the most hipped music of Taiwan and Hongkong. but now the food is gettig worst. the quality and the taste has changed. the only thign alive is the restaurant is the lively powerful music to attract customers. i adivise to not visit this restaurant for a while until they get the chief straighten out and the food quality straighten out. good luck to them. i'm off to another restaurant. btw i heard spicesI on clement few blocks away is still good.

Although the name implies very spicy food, I found their food only look spicy, taste spicy, but not burning spicy. It satisfies my urge for spicy food but I did not have to drink lots of ice water to dilute the spicy taste in my mind. Portion is generous. Well worth your money. It woud be nice if deco can be re-done. The strong color deco makes me nervous.
