Rate and Write a Review Partially housed in an old rail car, this classic diner has been serving city residents since the late 1920s. Tables placed closely together line the inside of the narrow dining area, while a few outdoor tables and a row of stools along the counter offer additional seating. Patrons at the ultra-casual and inexpensive destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner chow down on eggs prepared any style, made-to-order omelets, burgers, patty melts and on sip old school malts, root beer floats and coffee beverages. Low prices and late-night hours make this a popular stop for the post-bar crowd. In recent years, the restaurant has added Portuguese cuisine to its menu. In addition to offerings like caldo verde soup and marinated rib eye steak topped with a fried egg, the staff is happy to cook up Portuguese favorites that aren't on the menu upon request. Beer and wine are also available.
