Don't waste your time
If your looking for fresh and decent food go some where else.
The calamari had been frozen then deep fried. The batter was too thick without flavor. The sauce was red but that was all didn't add a thing. No heat.
The crab cakes were still cold in the middle. They hadn't been unfrozen even before throwing them into the skillet. They looked meaty but were blah. No heat.
The oxtails needed another 2 hours of simmering. I had to bring them home and simmer them before they were edible.
The only thing going for it was the sangria.
They need a chef that cares.
Great food and atmosphere
My family and friends have dined here on numerous occasions. The food is always excellent and flavorful, as are the drinks and desserts. The service is great. We really love this place. The spicy cornbread, that comes with food, is memorable. The plantains with black bean dip as an appetizer is also excellent, as are the greens, a mixture of several varieties. They also come with the main dishes. Their spicy fried potatoes are very good also. As far as the main courses go, we've loved the jerk chicken and the seafood. Portions are generous and everything is very flavorful. Decor is cheery, bright island colors.

I went on the request of a friend she really enjoyed the mango chicken salad. I'm a big salad eater so I ordered it since she thought it was so good.It was okay, not at all what I expected. The chicken wasn't very moist. I didn't enjoy the overcooked cornbread either. The servers were not the most attentive either. This resteraunt is not worth going back.
