A busy gay bar and dance club on Lower State, this place is easiest to find if you follow the crowds. The entrance is painted to blend in with the surrounding walls, and only a tiny trident advertises its existence; so if youre driving by, you might miss it. Theres usually a group of boisterous, cheerful patrons around somewhere, and theyll direct you over to this little den of iniquity quite happily. Inside, everything is bathed in an eerie red glow (well, what else did you expect?), and house music thumps at high volume. The bar area is separate from the dance floor, allowing people in the bar to enjoy conversation on all but the busiest nights. Theres almost always a special event at this bar. -- Lena Katz

Our guests are delighted to have Hades within walking distance of our inn. Good drinks, friendly staff and interesting crowd are some of the comments around the breakfast table.
