Just outside of the heart of Ojai lies an architectural haven described as "hip and stylish" by Sunset magazine. Designed and built by local artchitect Mark Whitman in the style of the Spanish missions, the Blue Iguana features rooms and kitchen suites each individually designed by owner Julia Whitman and featuring furnishings from around the world. Should you happen to become too attached to your room's artwork, created by local Ojai artists, feel free to purchase it as a souvenir. The Blue Iguana prides itself on its hospitality and customer service, and manager Lia Dalidd goes out of her way to make every guest's stay memorable. Check their website for special packages from their mascot, Iggy. Don't forget to check out their sister property, the Emerald Iguana Inn, located in downtown Ojai.
