closed for remodeling
The El Encanto has been closed for over a year to remodel. All work has stopped and there is no sign that they will continue construction. It is a shame. It was a landmark, and a favorite of neighbors.

LUNCH ON HALLOWEEN WAS, PERHAPS APPROPRIATELY, GHASTLY. SLOW SERVICE, COFFEE CUPS WITH LIPSTICK ON THE OUTSIDE AND COLD COFFEE INSIDE. FAIR COBB SALAD, MUSHY DESSERTS. NOT ON A PAR WITH OTHER "PREMIUM" RESTAURANTS. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO SHAPE UP. OFF MY LIST FOR NOW.
