best dance place/music hall in the state, maybe more

A great over 30's club. Great atmosphere, food and drink.

New Year's Eve 2002 at Soho. It was suppose to be special and fun. It started out great with awesome food and service but the promise to keep the crowd under control was lost. Way too many people, not enough room on the dance floor and lots of hostility between those of us who paid 100 per person to eat, drink and be merry vs. those who came in drunk and out of control for only 20 bucks. There was no room to move on the dance floor and it was unfair to be overridden by a bunch of drunks. The point of paying the extra money was so that you could enjoy the night and be able to have some elbow room not to be crammed in like Sardines. Fighting on the dance floor is just classless. Soho should no better and when it was brought to the managements attention he just said thanks for the info and offered no consolation. Not what you want for your New Year's might as well hit any bar and not pay the extra to recieve no extras.

Went to see Dancing Drum and Luis Conte on Saturday, March 3rd. Wow!! The drumming was spectacular and the salsa with Luis Conte was great!! We had dinner and the food was excellent, too. We loved the outdoor patio to smoke and cool off. The crowd was everyone from grandaddy to grandchildren, which was really comfortable for us. No meat-market atmosphere.
