Called by Esquire "one of the best restaurants in America", located in the courtyard of the Inn at the Market. Linen, candlelight, and fresh flowers set the mood in the dining room overlooking the flower stalls and produce stands of the Market and Elliott Bay. Rated Four Stars by Seattle's Best Places, inducted into the Nation's Restaurant News' Fine Dining Hall of Fame in 1996, Wine spectator's Award of Excellence for six straight years, and awarded the Zagat Survey Restaurant Award. It is one of the prettiest, most intimate dining spots in Seattle.

My new fav

I cannot wait to go back! The beef tartare is unbelievable and the quail, to die for. Service is flawless and the location is so very romantic. There are few places in this city that scream sophistication without the pretence.

CAMPAGNE
By alicatxj6 on 02/11/2004
The service and ambiance of CAMPAGNE were excellent but the food disappointing. The foie gras failed to meet our expectation in that it possessed a disagreeable degree of fattiness which is usually not so pronounced in the subtle deliciousness of the perfect foie gras . . . to our taste, there is a limit to fattiness even in foie gras. The salmon was inedible, my companion and I agreed. The fishy flavor was unpleasant and offensive and left an aggressively persistent aftertaste. We asked that it be removed posthaste. We were unduly surprised that we struck out two for two having heard such good things about the restaurant. We were not charged for the salmon (we never mentioned our issues with the foie gras) but we compensated our server with the monetary difference. Will we go back? I want to say yes that we will give it another shot. (Our server and the manager were so gracious and accommodating over the whole thing.) But for us, Campagne may have to take its place at the end of a long line of excellent Seattle restaurants.
