Seattle has always been short on piano bars, so it's a good thing Chopstix features two dueling pianists five nights a week. And not only are they masters of the baby grand, but they are also jokesters, storytellers and party hosts -- all in one. Every night at 8PM, Chopstix delivers a full show of rock-driven entertainment, complete with classic hit upon classic hit of key-pounding interpretations. On any given night, you'll hear anything from Elton John and AC/DC to Sir Mix-A-Lot. And if you know the words, belt 'em out -- crowd participation isn't just encouraged, it's practically required. Modern music is the theme of Chopstix, whether in the form of Jerry Lee Lewis and Billy Joel artwork on the walls or 'Great Wings of Fire' and 'Macho Nachos, Man' appetizers on the menu. Even drink names come rock-infused -- the 'Purple Haze' is a 'stix specialty. You would think that all of this fanfare would come with a hefty pricetag, but the cost turns out to be surprisingly reasonable. Sure, there is a cover on Fridays and Saturdays, but as far as weekdays go, its hard to think of anywhere else in Seattle you will get this kind of entertainment with no entry fee. Rock on. -- Ryan Simantel
